The Covid-19 epidemic has demonstrated that traditional insurance solutions lack the capabilities to be able to provide comprehensive coverage and protection against the colossal costs of pandemics. The multifaceted and simultaneous international impact of the pandemic and the resulting accumulation of risks have dealt a severe blow to the principle of risk diversification. This pandemic will also have highlighted the importance of promoting cooperation between the public and private sectors, not only in the development of new insurance solutions, but also to better prepare, mitigate and manage risks.
The second webinar in the series proposed by A2ii-AICA on pandemic risks will focus on initiatives launched between the public and private sectors, drawing a parallel with the work carried out on climate risk. You will have the opportunity to hear a panel of experts from the public and private sectors and in particular from the Insurance Development Forum (IDF).
This webinar is open to all stakeholders and will take place at 1:00 pm (time zone: UTC + 2) in English (with simultaneous interpretation in French and Spanish). The presentation will take place via WebEx and is expected to last 75 minutes.
