On May 26th, 2011, the Access to Insurance Initiative hosted a Regulators’ Workshop on Microinsurance in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The Workshop was co-hosted by the African Insurance Organisation (AIO), and held back-to-back with their 38th Annual Meeting and Conference “In pursuit of the Uninsured African”.
The AIO is the largest Africa-wide insurance network for industry and regulators. The Workshop was held at the Elephant Hill Resort Hotel in Victoria Falls. It was attended by more than 50 insurance supervisors, other regulatory representatives and invited guests from all over Africa.
